An Optimistic Future for Iraq

The New York Times can't make a logical conclusion. They run an article called "Minister Killed as Violence Breaks Out In West Afghanistan." Afghanistan was the last time we tried to create a democracy in the middle east. Iraq is playing out like a more visible, more rushed, less supported version of Afghanistan. And the future for Iraq is never mentioned.
Here's the line that was not included. Or considered. Or even ever written:

"The recent events in Afghanistan bode poorly for the future of Iraq, where the U.S. plans to follow a similar plan to that used in Afghanistan."

See how few words you need to combat improper omissions?

Good. Now use them.
